New to our product line, we recently had so much fun making these sweet little pouches for the The Shoebox Project / Opération boîte à chaussures, we decided to make some more!
If you've been following us on Instagram you'll know that our little senior pooch Simon aka Le Petit Simon had to have some major dental surgery. Simon is recovering slowly but surely thank goodness!!!
Hefty vet bills are well known to many of you I'm sure so it'll be no surprise for you to know that it is a big expense for a small business owner to shoulder. Having said that, I have something to offer! I make stuff! :) Its getting close to the holidays & you're gift shopping - check out our Petite Pouches and consider purchasing one as a gift or stocking stuffer! All proceeds from the sale of our pouches go towards covering Simon's vet bill. Lets just say we have to sell about 100 pouches to cover the costs. Anything above and beyond will be donated to the Happily Ever Esther Farm Sanctuary! Through the month of December Simone's Rose is also donating 5% of sales to the Esther Sanctuary.
Each pouch is handmade in our studio in Toronto, Ontario. They are fully lined and soft as can be with an inner layer of batting to give them structure. They can be shipped anywhere in the world & come gift wrapped. Need to send it to a friend as a gift? We'll take care of the gift wrapping and include a personal note from you!
In the details:
**Each pouch is MINI & measures approx. 4.5" x 3" x 2.75"
**Cost: $20 (USD/CND at par)
**Shipping: $2.50 (actual cost varies between $8-$15)
**Total cost: $22
Interested in ordering? Contact us with: Your choice of pouch (see our Facebook album of options here), your mailing address (or if you prefer to pick up in Toronto let us know), whether you need gift wrapping / gift note, etc. We'll reply with method of payment and total, etc. OR simply purchase through our Etsy shop.

Every year we like to organize an event where we can give back. We had so much fun putting gift boxes together for the Shoebox Project last year, why not do it again! On Friday, November 25th, Simone's Rose will be hosting a girl's night along with Sew Be It Studio & With Love Lingerie to wrap some shoe boxes and fill them with goodies for women in need who are living in shelters here in Ontario.
The Shoebox project is a woman's run initiative started to bring a smile to ladies stuck in unfortunate circumstances and we are really excited to contribute to this project. Please take some time to check out their website and consider making your own shoebox!
If you want to contribute to our efforts, we are accepting donations to purchase (or items such as...) socks, toques, mitts, toothbrushes, public transportation tokens & gift cards.
Deadline to drop off Shoeboxes at local shelters is early to mid December so we are happy to also accept items or shoeboxes until this date to drop off at nearby shelters.
Please contact us if you'd like more info! (firstname.lastname@example.org)

NOW IN SHOP!
Inquiring minds want to know - when is the next collection coming out?! I'm so excited to share some of the new designs I've been working on but here's the thing - being a slow fashion label & an independent designer, its not always easy or economically viable to follow the traditional fashion schedule. Nor is it necessarily something I want to do. There are many, many brands releasing their fall and winter collections months in advance - in the middle of summer even! That makes absolutely no sense to me as a consumer & a lover of fashion. Let me be the one who can make you something fabulous when you actually need it. So - coming very soon... I'll be releasing a capsule collection I'm calling Winter - Hiver. Classic styles you can wear in cooler temperatures, layer them up & get cozy. And hey - they'll last you right into early spring and beyond, beyond, beyond because they are ethically made with love, using high quality fabrics and sewing methods right here in our Canadian design studio. Stay tuned! Launch date >>> early October.

Simone's Rose is really excited to take part in Toronto's huge show at the MaRS centre in downtown Toronto. Many vendors apply for the opportunity to show at this event and only the cream of the crop are selected. You know what that means? 130 stellar vendors with awesome, handmade goods abound! We hope you'll be able to make it out to this one if you're in the Toronto area on 9.24.16. Support your local artisans & share / check out the Facebook page event here.

Happy Spring! Ooopsies - Looks like I've fallen behind on my blog posts lately but that's kind of good news because it means I've been busy with lots of spring orders! It's time to take a little break to spend time with family though so the Simone's Rose online shop will be closed until April 11th for a short break.
I hope you're all having a great start to spring and am looking forward to getting back to the studio to make y'all some beauties from our new collection.
After months of research, fabric sourcing, weeks of pattern making and sewing and several days of photography and editing, our SS'16 collection is just about ready to launch! Right now its all about catching up on business things like inventory, accounting & planning ahead but don't worry - there's still time for the best part of my job which mostly involves designing, picking out fabrics and researching new ideas! Here's a sneak peek at my (always evolving) inspiration board for SS16....
I've also got fall/winter 16 in the works, setting up an online shop right here on our website and getting your orders out so suffice it to say its a busy time in the studio BUT I've been wanting to get this blog started for a while now so I'm just going to make myself an extra cup of coffee and go for it!
